Who

KIS Thrift, which opened in Wilder in March 2025, is the fun younger sibling to KIS Clean Outs (est. 2021), which provides trusted estate clean out services in the Upper Valley for seniors and other busy individuals facing the daunting task of downsizing. Meet the team!

Both businesses are owned and operated by Sam Freihofer and Margaret Pridgen, who live and grew up in the Upper Valley. KIS Thrift also partners with a great group of vendors who sell wares in the first corner of the store.

What

We sell a wide range of used goods at affordable prices in a fun atmosphere. Whether you love a nice browse through our vendors’ collections or you’re more of a digger who wants to put some junk in your trunk, KIS Thrift probably has something you need and definitely has something you want.

Why

Since its founding in 2021, KIS Clean Outs has prized itself on keeping reusable items out of the landfill, respectful handling of clients’ things, and responsible disposal of trash items at the landfill & recycling centers. However, the huge volume of unneeded or unwanted goods outweighs the capacity of almost every organization that accepts them — except for the dump. KIS Thrift provides a much-needed outlet for the Keep It Simple team to match pre-loved goods with their next homes. Plus … it’s fun!

Where

KIS Thrift is located in a large warehouse at 2635 Hartford Avenue, aka Route 5, in Wilder, Vermont, a 5-minute drive north from White River Junction.

Look for the beige building on the same side of the road as King Arthur Baking Company, about 2 miles south. Or just find us on Google Maps.
